There is so much to share!
We loved seeing so many smiling faces at our PTO “Coffee with Cuties” event! Thank you to our incredible PTO for creating such a special opportunity for connection, and thank you to all of our guests who took time out of their morning to be part of it. Moments like these matter. To a child, having family show up at school isn’t a small thing- it’s everything. It tells them, this matters… and so do you.
This newsletter is packed with celebration and excitement, so be sure to scroll down to catch it all! You’ll find more about the buzz around earning our 6th consecutive year as a Great Expectations Model School, recognizing our site Teacher of the Year, the opening and naming of Claremont’s playground, celebrating our March students and staff members of the month, and honoring our paraprofessionals with a well-deserved “hats off” for all they do. There is truly so much to celebrate, and it's more than I can capture in just this opening message, so keep reading!
If you haven’t already, drive by our playground, but let me encourage you to take it one step further… park and go play! You can’t fully appreciate what a game changer this is for our students until you experience it in person. Seeing kids and families enjoying the space in the evenings and on weekends truly fills our hearts.
With excitement,
Randa Fay Principal

We are proud to share that Claremont has met the goal of being named a Great Expectations Model School for the 6th consecutive year! This recognition reflects the intentional work of our staff setting high academic standards, developing character, and supporting the needs of our students each and every day in a consistent, unified way.
In just a few weeks, we will host our Great Expectations Model School Assembly, welcoming honored guests from our Partners in Education, community organizations, district leadership, and our families who support the work happening at Claremont each day. We are so excited to celebrate our students and staff for this incredible accomplishment!

PARAPROFESSIONAL APPRECIATION DAY |
|
|
|
It is time to recognize some of the most impactful members of our school family, our paraprofessionals. Claremont paras serve in so many roles across the building supporting in classrooms, working closely with students, encouraging, guiding, and stepping in wherever needed. They truly wear many hats each and every day, helping hold everything together while ensuring our students' needs are met. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication, flexibility, and the care provide.
In celebration, we invite everyone to wear a hat on Wednesday. This will be a fun way to recognize the many hats our paraprofessionals wear, while also giving them our “hats off” for the hard work and heart they pour into our school each day.

The Claremont playground has received some thrilling updates, including being named Robson Park, and it is officially open! This is one of the most exciting moments for our school community! The name, Robson Park, is in honor of Mr. Frank Robson. He and his sister attended Claremont as children, making this tribute especially meaningful and deeply rooted in our school’s history. Built on historically significant grounds, Robson Park is more than just a playground. It is a symbol of community, legacy, and opportunity for generations of students and families.
Already, this space is making a tremendous impact, providing a place for laughter, movement, and connection during the school day while also serving our neighborhood families and the Claremore community during off school hours. We are so proud to see this vision come to life and can’t wait for the memories that will be made here. This is truly something special.

ReCAP OF MARCH'S MUSIC MONTH STAFF SURVEY |
In celebration of Music Month, Mrs. Keener surveyed our staff about their musical backgrounds and interests.
She learned our staff has had piano lessons, sung in a chorus, played in a band or orchestra, and made music just for fun. Our faculty and staff members love music and a wide variety of it. Many enjoy a variety of genres of every style from rock to brass bands, from opera to pop, from blues to Red Dirt, from gospel to country, from rock to indie, and musicals to jazz! They enjoy listening to relax, stay active, and focus. They also are interested in challenging themselves to learn to read music better and learn new instruments, including piano, guitar, flute, saxophone, hand bells, and drums!

Research shows that music can improve mood, reduce stress, and boost concentration— reminding us that what we listen to matters. |

"I was impressed with the variety of eras and performers that my coworkers enjoy! It was fun to know that people like certain types of music for certain things like exercise, relaxing, and travel.
I am so happy they shared their musical experiences that changed their lives! They continue to enjoy listening to music, and they have dreams and goals of experiencing more live and performed music. I want our students to have this same love for all kinds of music, and my hope is to inspire that same love and appreciation for music in our students!" - Mrs. Keener
