FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE

Claremont Families,

Today is Veterans Day! As we celebrate Veterans, let’s take a moment to honor and express our gratitude to the brave men and women who have served or are serving our country. Their dedication and sacrifice make so much of our freedom possible, and we are deeply thankful for their service. Many of our students will walk to the parade today. This morning we discussed the importance of showing respect. We discussed that our attendance isn't about getting out of class or attending a parade to receive candy. Our students understood our participation is about showing respect and honoring those who have or are willing to do what it takes to stand up and protect our great nation.

On another note, we are excited to share that we now have Claremont and Claremore merch for sale! We have chosen to go with a classic design that we believe will be sought-after by many! The tops are available in various brands as well as styles. Consider the upcoming gift giving season as you browse through the online store.

An exciting opportunity for our families is upon us! Each student should have come home with a Thanksgiving meal form. Our doors will open November 21 for those who have returned a completed form, with cash or check returned (sent with child in envelope or hand delivered to the front office) by November 15th. That is a quick turnaround, so please get forms and money in asap. This deadline is important to uphold; it assists our kitchen staff with ordering the proper amount of food for the event and expedites the process by having payment already handled. The grade level times are provided, just scroll down to see the tight schedule.

We are thrilled to have this opportunity to continue to build our family relationships and school community! On the day of this event, give yourself ample time to park, check in, and time to be served. We will be working to keep within the time frames allotted for each lunch period.

As we head into another week full of learning and growth, let's recognize how important it is to carry kindness and positivity in everything we do. Together, we have the power to make this week a great one!

With gratitude,

Randa Fay

HYGIENE

  • Encouraging simple habits like regular handwashing with soap and water can significantly reduce the spread of germs!

  • Brushing teeth twice a day helps prevent cavities and ensures a bright smile!

  • Regular baths/showers and wearing clean clothes daily can help to eliminate body odors, especially when combined with the use of deodorant.

These habits go beyond health; personal hygiene instills a sense of self-care and confidence in our kids!

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING

In November, our SEL lessons will focus on essential life skills that support our students’ social and emotional development. We will discuss the importance of following directions, practicing positive self-talk, and being assertive in expressing their needs. We will also be working on learning how to identify their own feelings as well as understand the feelings of others. If you have questions or need support feel free to reach out! Thank you for your support as we nurture these important skills together!
